I recently faced the challenge of creating pieces in wrought iron for a 150-year old church.

Studying the architectural evolution of this Episcopal church located just next to the Mayo clinic in Rochester, MN was interesting.  Through time the church has received many gifts including several Tiffany stained glass windows. The style of the church, the windows and the location in Rochester Minnesota suggested vegetation and open fields.  The construction material, red bricks, inspired me to forge a distinctive style, more germanic than french.

Research of style for an old church.
This is a challenge for us and the community to find what they want and what is best for the building.

Copper Chimney cap

To dress up the top of the chimney with too many pipes, the client ask us to design a chimney cap to fit the chimney.
Our idea was to match the brick work.
We used a bronze wire mesh 1/4" to make it bird and bat proof.
